The Vice President of Data Science & Analytics leads a team of data management and analytics professionals responsible for providing internal clients across the organization with reporting and analyses used to identify and prioritize operational tasks and measure progress against organizational goals. The team works with internal business units to identify performance and operational improvement opportunities and provide decision support to quantify business process and strategy options.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide ongoing oversight, direction, and management of the team, including mentoring and development of individual team members
  • Champion a data-driven culture across the enterpris
  • Build a scalable data infrastructure to support the Data & Analytics delivery strateg
  • Grow reporting and analysis capabilities to support strategic, operational and tactical decision making for the rest of the organizatio
  • Develop methods and controls to ensure consistent application and use of dat
  • Integrate analytics-based solutions into business processes to drive continuous improvement in service delivery
  • Promote innovation in reporting and data visualization with our metrics platform
  • Partner with other business leaders to assess opportunities, develop implementation plans and evaluate strategy

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in statistics, math, computational or mathematical finance, computer science, engineering or related technical field required. Master’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • 7-10+ years in a quantitative, data-driven business environment
  • Prior management experience required
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to develop departmental strategy and objectives to build a high performance team of data professionals
  • Hands-on experience with development and implementation of large scale data solutions
  • Working knowledge of statistical methods
  • Working knowledge of project management methodologies and ability to prioritize team deliverables against competing needs
  • Independent and critical thinking
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with senior management and co-workers, and to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication skills to convey complex and technical information both orally and in writing
  • Presentations skills to clearly communicate conclusions and recommendations with supporting data
  • Intellectual curiosity, especially around exploring and explaining causality
  • Customer service orientation and focus.
