POSITION TITLE: AP/AR Specialist (Contract-to-Hire)
LOCATION: Rockmart, GA
SALARY: $25-28/HR

BrainWorks Interim is working with a well-established organization in the Aerospace & Defense manufacturing industry looking to hire an AP/AR Specialist to join their collaborative team on a contract to hire basis. This urgent hire is driven by continued company growth and increased operational demands. The ideal candidate must have in depth knowledge of transactional accounting and intermediate Excel skills in a high-volume, detail-oriented environment.

This is an exciting opportunity for an accounting professional to join a stable company with a collaborative team culture! Candidates must be commutable to Rockmart, GA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Process and verify invoices, including contractor submissions and vendor credits.
• Paying vendors invoices and processing cash receipts on a timely basis.
• Reconciling AP and AR accounts and producing summary reports.
• Complete weekly/monthly AP and AR reconciliations and aging reports.
• Working quickly in a high-volume environment is good accuracy.
• Communicate with clients for collections and vendors for payment inquiries.
• Assist with bank reconciliations and monthly sales tax submissions.

MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2+ years of AP or AR experience (preferably both but not required)
• Experience processing up to 100 invoices per day within AP or AR
• Experience dealing directly with customer/vendors issues
• Ability to be flexible and prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a growing company.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to create efficiencies.
• Excel: Intermediate skills including the ability to create pivot tables and use lookup functions without assistance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in the manufacturing industry
• Experience with SAP
• Experience with PowerBI
• Experience collaborating directly with Sales & Procurement teams
