WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Business Development Representative is accountable for pursuing knowledge and understanding of our client’s product with the goal of qualifying prospects through cold calls and cold emails. This role will participate in sales initiatives, policies, and programs in support of business plans and strategic objectives, necessary to meet annual department and individual goals. The Business Development Representative partners with Account Executives to identify target accounts and develop pipeline strategies to ensure leads are properly qualified and will progress through the defined sales process.

This role is responsible for conducting outbound prospecting campaigns (calls, emails, social media) and managing inbound sales inquiries.

  • Prioritize provided account targets based on direction from Account Executives
  • Research and qualify prospects to make sure they are a good fit for solutions
  • Perform outbound prospecting via cold calling, cold emailing, social media and marketing campaigns
  • Setup qualified appointments for assigned Account Executive
  • Follow-up with prospects who didn’t attend initial appointments
  • Follow-up with cold leads to try and re-engage them through follow-up meetings
  • Leverage call and email strategies to engage cold leads
  • Consistently log lead, contacts, accounts and qualification information into CRM

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent preferred
  • Demonstrate a competitive drive and desire to succeed in established goals
  • Cold calling and emailing experience
  • Track record of over-achieving quota
  • Attentive to details and able to follow processes
  • Strong phone presence and listening ability
  • Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation tools
  • Experience working with Salesforce.com or similar CRM
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Strong lead generation and follow-up skills
