## Description

BrainWorks Search is partnered with a leading automotive manufacturer outside of Detroit seeking an experienced **Controls Engineer** to join its team. This is a hands-on, plant-floor-focused role supporting controls and automation within a highly automated manufacturing environment.


#### Responsibilities





- Troubleshoot PLCs and automated manufacturing equipment

- Utilize ladder logic to diagnose controls-related issues

- Determine whether equipment issues are related to the physical machine or software/controls

- Support robotics and automated manufacturing cells

- Partner with Maintenance and Engineering to troubleshoot equipment downtime

- Provide hands-on controls support on the manufacturing floor



#### Qualifications





- 3–7+ years of controls, automation, electrical, or industrial maintenance experience preferred

- Strong PLC troubleshooting and ladder-logic experience

- Experience with Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens controls preferred

- Die-casting experience strongly preferred; injection molding or extrusion environments will also be considered



#### Compensation & Benefits





- Base salary: $80,000–$110,000, with flexibility based on experience

- Fully company-paid employee medical benefits
