WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
The Director, Brand Marketing is a integral leader within the Marketing department, reporting directly to our VP of Brand Marketing. This individual is responsible for driving innovation across a subset of product lines by creating marketing strategies and executing short- and long-term initiatives that propel the business and brand towards our established growth targets. A successful Director or Brand Marketing will lead with a General Management mindset, balancing the need for creativity and an entrepreneurial approach with strategy and discipline. You will own the P&L, oversee the day-to-day management and decision making, and partner with cross-functional teams ensuring alignment across each department through a clear plan of action. In addition, this individual will represent the brand with multiple stakeholders, externally and internally, including our Executive Leadership Team utilizing your expertise to present recommendations and initiatives. Lastly, the Director, Brand Marketing will be leading a brand team – They will play a key leadership role in building and elevating the Marketing team through growth experiences and talent development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead strategic planning, product management, porfolio management, innovation, and marketing for core segments within the portfolio
- Leverage business insights and analytics, leveraging multiple data sources including Numerator and IRI, across core product lines to identify insights and drive business decisions
- Manage relationships with external partners to drive core business activities, including advertising agencies, innovation consultants, design firms, and other consultants, as needed
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop, incubate and launch innovation and line extensions; Build NPD business cases and drive subsequent project stage-gate recommendations
- Identify structural components and graphics of packaging to best convey product proposition; Work with legal and regulatory to ensure all requirements are met
- Develop project revenue and consumption forecasts
- Create and manage detailed project timelines to ensure delivery of project milestones
- Develop consumer learning plan and execute research to drive insights that impact the business
- Lead development of marketing support plan to build awareness of product lines
- Build annual marketing plans that effectively drive HH penetration, brand awareness, and trial
- Collaborate with Sales to build selling materials and selling strategy
- Develop, manage and track annual budget and spending
- Lead and develop direct reports, making recommendations on improving resourcing, process, etc.
- Travel required (10-20%)

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS/BA degree, required
- Minimum 10 years of marketing experience, required
- Minimum 6 years directly managing people and leading teams, direct reports and cross-functional teams, required
- CPG experience in the branded food business, required
- Experience working in Brand Management or Brand Management Consulting, required
- Experience at an entrepreneurial brand or company, and in sports nutrition or a related industry, preferred

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
The health, satisfaction and well-being of our employees are important to us and an integral part of our organization’s goals. In this spirit, we are excited to share the available compensation for this role, which includes a base salary range and an annual short-term incentive.
The base hiring range for Colorado is: $150,000 – $170,000, exclusive of benefits or additional incentives (highlighted here). Annual short-term incentive target for this role is 25% of your annual salary; Annual long-term incentive target for this role is 20% of your annual salary. If you are hired, your final base salary compensation will be determined based upon such factors as: geographic locations, skills, training, education and/or experience. Please keep in mind that hiring at the range maximum would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.
