Infrastructure Director – Houston, Texas!
Our amazing client headquartered in Houston is hiring a Director – IT Infrastructure. This hybrid role will be 50% hands on engineering and also be responsible for the stability, integrity, and governance of information technology infrastructure resources that support their core organizational functions. This Director will manage a team of experienced technology professionals and will engage in third party support as required.
What you will be doing:
•Lead the team responsible for the overall maintenance, monitoring, and performance tuning of the corporate network and infrastructure, servers, cloud storage, and cybersecurity platforms.
•Work closely with the Information Security and Compliance team to evaluate and implement systems to enhance data security and governance, and to facilitate risk management, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
•Build successful stakeholder relationships with other IT and business leaders by developing a clear understanding of business needs, acting as a trusted advisor, and ensuring fast, reliable, cost-effective delivery of infrastructure-related IT services to meet those needs.
•Manage the infrastructure components of the department budget; collaborate with IT leadership as appropriate to introduce opportunities for improvement.
•Operate a formal governance mechanism to establish and monitor effective controls for the processes and functions performed by the team.
•Serve as the program manager for our endpoint management platform (Intune).
•Manage overall resources and develop IT talent to support the organization’s rapid growth and increasing investment in infrastructure-related technology.
What you bring to the table:
•Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, or another related field preferred.
•Ten or more years of IT infrastructure and operations experience
•Five or more years leading infrastructure/operations teams at a mid-market enterprise or larger.
•Five or more years of technology project management (full life cycle) experience.
•Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Active Directory and Azure AD.
•Experience with the following technologies: Multi-factor Authentication, M365, Email/Web Filtering Solutions, MDM/MAM solutions, Enterprise Cloud Storage Solutions, enterprise telephony.
•MS365/MS Intune experience – administrator/device management experience with these products.
•Working knowledge of the Azure catalog of services.
•Experience with Azure storage accounts, networking, logging, monitoring, and automation.
•Strong understanding of information technology and IT services including cybersecurity practices and techniques to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of systems, data, and resources.
•Demonstrated experience in leading and upgrading a complex, technologically blended environment that is a mix of legacy and newer cloud-based technologies.
•Ability and willingness to provide hands-on support (can do the work when called upon, not just manage the work) when needed but value and demonstrate leadership in mentoring and empowering others.
•Demonstrates proven intimate knowledge and success with leading and directing private, public or hybrid cloud environment-related solutions.
This is a direct hire role offering an excellent salary, bonus, and benefits. Hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in the office.
