Our amazing client is a well-known, direct to consumer entity, topping $5 billion dollars in annual sales. They have a unique, important opportunity on their management team. The Director, Development is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of systems, programs, and systems software. This position establishes IS policies, standards, practices, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent information processing operations and to safeguard information resources

What you will be doing:

  • Manages the design, development, improvement, and maintenance of systems, programs, and systems software to meet management’s and company’s information needs.
  • Establishes IS policies, standards, practices and security measures to ensure effective and consistent information processing operations and to safeguard information resources.
  • Leads the various software development teams, including training, mentoring, and project and task assignments.
  • Maintains knowledge of development in the area of systems and hardware and incorporates new knowledge into a cohesive development vision and strategy for the company.
  • Works with peers, business partners, offshore development and vendors to build and maintain close relationships and partnerships.

What you bring to the table:

  • Experience with Microsoft technologies
  • C#, .Net Core, SQL, Azure, Azure DevOps
  • Experience with migrations to Azure
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum ten years of IS experience with increasing management responsibility
  • Strong knowledge of server configurations
  • Strong knowledge of systems architecture
  • Strong knowledge of upgrade applications for new platforms
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC components
  • Strong people management, and team building
