Our client, a global recognized leader in the financial services technology space, has engaged our firm to place a talented Global Category Leader with a focus on IT software. This position will be located at their CT (hybrid) office with relocation available OR remote with travel approx once a quarter. This person will be a trusted advisor to a Global team and facilitate complex, strategic sourcing initiatives and contract negotiations for the procurement of Software, SaaS, CSP and IT services. This individual will lead teams of key cross-functional stakeholders through the strategic sourcing process and leverage purchasing power to drive measurable commercial improvements. Experience leading complex, enterprise-wide sourcing initiatives, contract negotiations and supplier management activities for companies such as, but not limited to AWS, GCP, Microsoft/Azure
6+ years of professional experience in Software sourcing & negotiations
Strong preference for financial services or technology industry experience
Proven experience influencing in a global, remote environment
Experience leading direct reports is highly valued but not required
Ability to work a hybrid schedule in their CT office or remotely with occasional travel from CA, FL, IL, MA, NC, NJ, NY, OH, WI, TX or DC
