Brainworks is seeking a tenured Help Desk Technician for one of our amazing Houston area clients! This is a long term, contract to hire opportunity. The primary purpose of this role is to provide level 1 and basic level 2 technical support to resolve commonly reported, semi-complex problems with technology products and applications, including computer hardware and software, telecommunications equipment, mobile devices, and networks operating in company locations. The role will provide first-class customer service to the clients end users.

Mostly remote with one day a week in the office. (Southwest Houston)

What you will be doing:

• Technical support for technology products and applications, including computer hardware and software, telecommunications equipment, mobile devices, and networks operating within the client company.
• Perform tracking and documentation by entering issue details, status of service requests, and resolutions into the company incident management system.
• Provide technical support, over phone and via Freshservice ITSM (Service Now experience is ok), to associates across the enterprise to resolve highly complex and time-sensitive problems as needed.
• Assist with tracking and documenting of activities related to staging, integration, troubleshooting, and installation of enterprise technology systems may be required.

What you bring to the table:

• Associate degree in computer science, CIS, or related field (or equivalent work experience in a related field)
• 2 years IT experience in a support or operations environment working with PC or client/server platforms and/or hardware.
• 2 years of experience requiring the use of a PC or company information system
• Excellent investigative and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
