HR Manager Role

Supports Company leadership team to successfully implement initiatives and execute corporate human resource programs. This is a bottom to top, hands-on role as Human Resources Manager where your direct impact will be evident throughout the organization. Help to create an environment to attract, develop, retain, and engage talent throughout the organization to deliver business goals. This role will report to the CEO of a high-growth business and be a key business partner to the 50+ person organization. The role will be onsite in Chicago as a Key leader within the organization.

Responsibilities

•Lead and execute the functional areas of HR including recruitment and retention, onboarding/offboarding, performance management, talent management, total rewards, compensation, staff training, development and engagement, labor law compliance, and employee relations
•Create, develop and implement internal and external recruiting tools for candidates in addition to functional established programs (Indeed, iSolved, job boards, Ziprecruiter, referrrals, Facebook, etc)
•Provide technical support (iSolved, benefits, etc) and personnel management for major programs and projects
•Provide coaching and guidance to company managers and associates regarding training, ongoing performance and HR administration in areas such as policy and procedure. Assist in determining training needs and developing programs to improve performance and professional development.
•Partner with executive team to drive an inclusive and diverse culture, this includes associate or entry level positions through management level authority within the Company
•Ability to research, implement and demonstrate Company compliance with employee and labor relations (investigations, conflict resolution, union experience). This also includes support in reviewing, interpreting, administering, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, and company policies and procedures

Position Requirements and Skills

•Minimum Education Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources
•4 years of experience in Human Resources management
•2 years of which have been in a supervisory position preferred and/or an equivalent combination of related training and experience
•Experience working with attorneys, COE’s, and senior leadership (decision-making authority) Maintain proficiency and necessary certifications in all current employee-related laws including ADA, FMLA, Sexual Harassment, manage employee claims and litigation in conjunction with internal and external counsel Most important decisions made with review and approval of other individuals or supervisors (include the reviews/approvals required): Manage HR department budget.
