Our client, a global consumer goods manufacturer in the toy industry, is in a growth mode and seeking a motivated National Account Manager to join its expanding team. In this role, you will work with retail partners of all sizes, both directly and through 3rd party sales representatives. Use strategic selling techniques to generate revenue by expanding business opportunities with new & existing retail partners
Increase company gross margins through strategic negotiations
Foster customer relationships to become a preferred vendor
Represent portfolio of products to assigned retail accounts, based on unique needs of each customer
Observe & evaluate competitive landscape to protect existing business
Develop shipment forecasts, analyze retail sales data & inventory planning for assigned accounts
Analyze the financials of your business and provide status updates to the organization
Maintain in-depth product knowledge & drive future product development through relevant feedback
IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:
Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of national account sales experience in consumer products
Toy industry experience is a plus
Experience with accounts including grocery (Kroger), department store channel, home improvement/farm channel (Menards, Tractor Supply, Blain’s) is highly desired
Familiarity with sales analytics & forecasting
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office programs; experience with tools such as Power BI, Salesforce a plus
