This position entails providing functional leadership in driving financial results, performance analysis, and timely closing and reporting according to corporate schedules. This role will support the local manufacturing facility, focusing on implementing best practices and continuously improving financial reporting to business leaders. The Controller will ensure consistent and accurate implementation of financial and accounting policies in adherence to GAAP, serving as a key partner to the Plant Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Offer timely and insightful financial analysis for manufacturing and operations leadership.
  • Coordinate the annual budgeting process and formulate department-level budgets.
  • Take charge of developing monthly and quarterly financial forecasts.
  • Execute financial activities and specified entries for monthly closing processes.
  • Assess financial reports and records thoroughly.
  • Assist in integrating plant and process into company operations.
  • Deliver proactive financial support and analysis for plant management.
  • Perform variance analysis and reconcile accounts.
  • Oversee fixed asset and project accounting.
  • Maintain and update standard costs.
  • Participate in and ensure proper controls for monthly physical inventory counts.
  • Undertake special projects as needed.
  • Ensure timely submission of deliverables for corporate reporting requirements.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA or MPACC degree favored.
  • At least 5 years of progressive accounting or financial experience within the Manufacturing industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; familiarity with SAP considered beneficial.
  • Exceptional organizational, presentation, interpersonal, and project management abilities.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for multitasking and thriving in both team-oriented and independent work environments.
  • Proven capability to handle numerous projects concurrently within tight deadlines.
