Our client is a large and well respected consumer products manufacturer seeking a Plant Manager to lead the manufacturing plant.

The Plant Manager will be responsible for providing proactive leadership within a highly automated, high speed manufacturing plant. Achieving all plant goals and objectives around key performance indicators (KPI) of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People by driving daily continuous improvements throughout the manufacturing process.

The Plant Manager role is a key part of the Leadership Team and will be reporting functionally to the Vice President of Manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Manage production, maintenance and engineering leaders/associates that support the Manufacturing Plant.
• Drive daily continuous improvement within critical plant KPI’s
• Passionately drive a high-performance work team to achieve breakthrough performance
• Problem solves to issues and implements corrective actions
• Ensure the desired product quality levels are achieved through use of standard work and training
• Lead an environment of continuous improvement
• Plan, manage, and adjust the workload and production schedules to optimize plant resources and meet scheduled production commitments.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or related technical field
• 10+ years’ experience Manufacturing Environment, preferable within a process industry
• 5+ years of work experience in continuous improvement (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and/or Total Productive Maintenance)
• Experience in high speed, highly automated manufacturing plant is required
• Ability to motivate and energize through strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong technical writing experience are required
• Ability to synthesize data and summarize outcomes to provide recommendations on direction
• Demonstrated ability to perform strategic planning, team building and operational excellence
