WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

The Procurement Analyst will report to our Manager, Procurement (Packaging), overseeing the roll out and sourcing of all new packaging items for Simply Good Foods. In addition, this individual will work closely with cross-functional teams in logistics, planning, sales, marketing, creative and R&D, as well as, build and maintain the relationships with our external packaging suppliers and CoMans. As a key contributor to the successful launch of new items, this individual will need to be passionate about data and analytics, open to collaboration with an innate sense of learning curiosity and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Order and track all packaging; Write, track and receive all purchase orders for plant trials and other team needs
  • Partner with Marketing and R&D with new item packaging design, style, and launch specifications
  • Liaise with key stakeholders (internal teams, external suppliers and CoMans) to communicate ingredient pricing and appropriate delivery lead-times
  • Track and synthesize information coming from multiple data sources; Summarize and communicate findings to cross-functional teams
  • Work closely with R&D, Marketing, Creative, and our Suppliers to support the launch of new products
  • Assist in setting the write-off budget and strategy development for managing packaging changes
  • Participate / Lead special projects and assignments, as required
  • Participate in all other miscellaneous SMPL and departmental tasks, as required
  • Attend departmental/cross-functional meetings

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE:

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (dataset automation, tool development, data summarization for reporting)
  • Analytical and pragmatic problem-solving skills
  • Basic knowledge of purchasing and inventory management concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Strong interpersonal skills; Exemplary writing, listening, communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently, solution-oriented, and think “outside the box”
  • Detail-oriented with excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities to meet tight deadlines

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related fields or equivalent work experience, required
  • 2 to 4 years of Supply Chain experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in Procurement and/or Planning functions, preferred
  • ERP understanding and knowledge (Microsoft D365, preferred)
  • Must demonstrate teamwork, leadership, and flexibility

** Work is performed in a fast-paced office environment and may be stressful at times. Work may require sitting for long periods of time; requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, calculator, telephone, copier and fax machine and scanner.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
The health, satisfaction and well-being of our employees are important to us and an integral part of our organization’s goals. In this spirit, we are excited to share the available compensation for this role, which includes a base salary range and an annual short-term incentive.
The CO base salary range is: $70,000 – $80,000, exclusive of benefits or additional incentives (highlighted here). This position is eligible for an annual short-term incentive target of 5%. If you are hired at Simply Goods Foods, your final base salary compensation will be determined based upon such factors as: geographic locations, skills, training, education and/or experience. Please keep in mind that hiring at the range maximum would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.
