Our client, a growing leader in their space in the consumer-packaged goods (CPG) industry, has retained our practice to place a Procurement Leader focused on ingredients including agricultural commodities and packaging. They are experiencing tremendous growth and are positioned as a leader in their space. This role, a replacement for someone retiring, will be based in the suburbs of Pittsburg with relocation assistance provided. This transformational role will focus on scaling procurement by creating operational efficiencies, spend management with high-level corporate strategies and cross-functional business units. Manage vendor relationships strategically to ensure high degree of reliability and competitive terms. Facilitate a collaborative vendor standardization process and transformation of information systems to manage and optimize procurement.

Ideal candidates will have:

• Experience leading strategic procurement transformations
• Experience within commodity markets especially wheat, sugar, coco, edible oils and packaging paper and pulp markets
• Proven experience growing, leading and developing a strategic procurement team
