The Sales Analyst will play an integral part of the Kroger team leveraging data and insights to build action plans that will communicate the overall sales, forecasting analysis and market share (gain/losses) opportunities. This individual will report into the Director of Sales, partnering closely with the Category Manager, Sales Planner and Regional Sales Manager. In addition, this individual will work cross-functionally with our broader Sales team. At the end of the day, it takes ALL of us to do what we do at a world-class level.


• Utilize syndicated data, account-specific data, consumer / shopper insights to identify new opportunities • Assess competitive market activity and provide analytics around risks / opportunities to the SGF portfolio
• Partner with cross-functional team members to identify forecast opportunities • Create and maintain Data Attribution files for both SMPL and Competitive items
• Conduct and collaborate on various projects involving sales, pricing, marketing, packaging, category management, trade marketing, forecasting, promotional activity, merchandising and retail execution
• Item Maintenance: IMF submissions for entire portfolio
• Oversee End-to-End Promotional Management, including: o Maintain promotional planners in partnership with the Sales Planner
o Review and submit promotional contracts
o Create and manage 84.51 contracts by including BCCs and KPM campaigns
o Support Accounts Receivable with deductions
o Track Trade Spend
• Coordinate sample needs for new item meetings
• Support the Category Manager during the line review process (i.e. organizing category data, distribution alignment, placing product orders, attend meetings and recap next steps, etc.)
• Assist with customer-related shopper merchandising initiatives
• Support Logistics by analyzing inventory and reporting OOS
• Address supply / customer service requests, as needed
• Run ad-hoc business reports to provide answers to time sensitive inquiries, as necessary
• Participate in special projects and assignments as required
• Participate in all other miscellaneous SMPL and departmental tasks, as required
• Attend departmental/cross-functional meetings


• Advanced knowledge and application of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Strong analytical aptitude with a proven ability to analyze and interpret data
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with Executives and team leads across the company
• Ability to manage projects simultaneously and adjust to changing priorities; Drive strategic projects to delivery
• Travel: Up to 15%, as needed


• Bachelor’s degree, required
• CPG experience, required; Food and/or beverage, preferred
• Minimum 2 years progressive experience in Sales, ideally with Sales data and analytics
• Minimum 1 year experience using Kroger systems, including: DemandTec, 84.51 Prism, PromoteIQ, Stratum/Market6, 1WorldSync, and Kroger VIP; Familiar with Lavante
• Experience with syndicated data (i.e. IRI, Nielsen, etc.) and forecasting, preferred

The compensation available for this role includes base salary, and an annual short-term bonus. All incentive plans are subject to management and Board of Directors discretion.
The projected annual base salary range for this role is: $65,000 to $80,000
The annual short-term incentive target for this role is: 5% of your annual base salary
