Analyst / Senior Analyst

An enterprise analytics SaaS company based out of New York city and Vancouver, Canada. They are a young company growing rapidly and building the next generation of Enterprise Intelligence software. Their leadership team has a combined 50 years+ of experience building and managing data, analytics, digital marketing and software across some of the world’s leading brands. They felt that there continued to be significant gaps in solutions that solved the problems we faced as users.

Looking for an outstanding Analyst to join the team. The position is the first hire for this role supporting their customer base with analytics, reporting, customer management and product development. It is a great opportunity for a self starter who is eager to learn and excited about an opportunity to help shape how they drive value for our customer base. This role encompasses data science, coding, report design, customer management and product development.

You will be surrounded by a team of experts in the analytics, machine learning, software development space who themselves have deep experience working for some of the best known global brands. The opportunity to learn and grow with the company will be tremendous and exciting. To be successful in this role, you have a strong passion for analytics, set high standards for yourself and your team, are comfortable with ambiguity, are constantly asking questions, genuinely want to make the customer successful and have expert coding skills in SQL.

Key job responsibilities

• Key customer facing contact to understand their needs/questions.
• You will be able to communicate customer problems and questions into an analytical framework (reports/queries).
• You will leverage SQL to run queries and translate the data into business facing scalable reports.
• You will work on a varied and interesting set of analytics problems that will directly affect our
customer’s business decisions and our company product roadmap.
• You will work on a diverse set of analytics problems across a range of company types.
• Build for scale, automation and self-service.

Basic Qualifications

• Strong SQL skills with either Python or R and Power BI or Tableau skills.
• 1+ years of work experience generating analytics on complex data sets. Experience with machine learning and statistical methods valuable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication to communicate internally and with business partners
• Demonstrated ability to independently drive the full life-cycle of a data science project
• The ability to identify and ask the right questions of our customers to understand the business problem we need to help them solve.
• Comfort and ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
