Job Overview:
We are looking for Data Engineer to assist in the design, building, & maintenance of data pipelines for data analytics & application consumption. The job entails integrating, combining & cleansing the data from both commercially available software & home-grown applications into a modern data platform. The ideal candidate will exhibit expertise with cloud-based data warehouses & have previous involvement with a transformation/ migration from a traditional on-prem approach.

What You’ll Do:
• Design, build & maintain scalable, automated data pipelines to enable Reporting, Data Visualization, Analytics, Data Science, ML & Internal products & solutions.
• Support current Java based Extract Transform Loads & validate data in current Oracle & Microsoft SQL environments.
• Develop new efficient & redundant Extract Load Tranforms as related to cloud transformation project.
• Participate in Agile & Scrum methodology to deliver quality data products.
• Document all processes & code. Maintain code repository accuracy.

What You’ll Bring:
• Experience working hands on in a data engineering role utilizing a cloud-based Data platform such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform. Experience migrating from on-prem to cloud is a +.
• Skills to create complex, efficient, SQL queries across MSSQL, Oracle, & MySQL data platforms.
• Ability to develop & maintain ETLs & ELTs in order to move, transform & combine data from multiple applications in multiple locations.
• Skill to develop, document & troubleshoot Java programming language.
• Previous work with Kafka or other Event Streaming Platforms.
• Strong communication & consulting skills & a working knowledge of agile development, including DevOps concepts.
• MS Office skills including Visio, PowerPoint, Excel & Word.
• Superior verbal & written communication skills, with experience working with business, IT, & technical stakeholders
• Ability to work in a fast-paced ever-changing environment; must work well under pressure
• Willing to travel & participate in training as recommended or required

Job Requirements: (please ensure you meet the listed requirements prior to applying)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field– required
• Six (6) years’ experience with Cloud Data– required
• Five (5) years’ experience with data platforms & advanced SQL queries– required
• Five (5) years’ experience with developing & maintaining near real-time ELT or ETL processes– required

• Experience or Certification on AWS Cloud Platform
• Hospitality industry experience
