As VP of Business Analysis, you will be the entrepreneurial leader that brings the value of Data Analytics to our client and their customers. You will focus on achieving transformational change by designing, developing and executing analytics work streams that serve as the catalyst to creating business impact. You own software systems that provide the tools for scaling data science and econometric insights and solutions to all analysts, providing advanced analysis education, and managing external data that benefits the Company.


• General understanding of business operations and finance
• Business domain knowledge (or ability to learn quickly)
• Application of data utilization, reporting and analytics techniques to create business insights


• Ability to distill informal customer requirements into problem definitions, dealing with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering results in an agile, dynamic environment.
• Ability to translate problem definitions into experimental and analytic plans for data modeling processes, use of strong baselines, ability to accurately determine cause and effect relations.
• Basic data warehousing principles and concepts (star schema, ETL, many to one relationship, unique identifier/key, hierarchies, dimensions, measures and other principles that influence their ability to ask for and obtain relevant data for analysis)
• Expert in excel – demonstrated ability to develop excel models that simulate a business activity or function, with appropriate assumptions, driver-based relationships and outcomes
• Familiarity with machine learning techniques (Supervised & Unsupervised) such as predictive modeling, clustering, recommendation systems, bandit methods, reinforcement learning, anomaly detection, tree-based methods
• Evidence of process engineering/mapping discipline
• Proven comfort and intellectual curiosity for working with very large sets of data, pulling in relevant team members to address identified – and sometimes undiscovered – client needs
• Thinks strategically, but stays on top of tactical execution
• Top-down thinker
• Resourceful – they can figure out a solution with what they can find. They are never blocked by imperfect resources
• Story telling; oral, written and visual


• Prior experience in the following disciplines:

  • Product Management
  • Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Data Analytics
  • Strategy Development
  • Business Architecture
  • Management Consulting
  • Portfolio Delivery Lead

• Prior experience in the financial Services Industry, preferred


• Degree in Economics, Engineering, Math or similar field, preferred
MBA from top-tier program, preferred
