Our client, a long-standing leader in the re-commerce space, is seeking a Vice President of Business Development who will be responsible for identifying new initiatives and partnerships to deliver exponential, non-linear growth. In this role, the VP will lead partnership and non-traditional supplier growth and development efforts, in order to expand the current audience base, develop partnerships in adjacent and complementary spaces, and rapidly accelerate the company’s growth trajectory. This is a great opportunity for a strong leader who also excels at hands-on tactics and operational details.

Responsibilities include:

• Assess existing and potential programs with key partners, as well as new channels and products
• Develop an executable Business Development strategy and sales/profit plan to grow revenue
• Foster relationships with major industry players and adjacent spaces
• Work with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, purchasing and operations to implement new partnerships
• Accountable for the successful delivery of profitable revenue growth for each partnership
• Conduct market analysis to identify challenges and opportunities for growth

Ideal candidates will have:

• Bachelor’s degree and 10-15 years of proven senior-level work experience in Business Development, Marketing, or Strategy roles
• Demonstrated record of success in developing new channels of business and operationalizing new business models
• Ability to continually test new ideas and concepts, with rapid incorporation of winning strategies
• Team player mentality with the ability to operate collaboratively across all levels of the business
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a proven ability to provide both visionary leadership and hands-on active engagement
• Experience in a hands-on leadership role within a startup, private equity-backed, or intrapreneur-style business that has experienced significant growth in revenue and market share
