Our client, a leading global private equity firm, is focused on buyouts across industry sectors. In November 2020, they closed on a primary and specialty care healthcare business and are seeking a VP of Mergers & Acquisitions to drive the company’s highly aggressive acquisition strategy. This is a great opportunity to create significant economic value and be part of the key leadership team.


The company offers primary care, specialty care and ancillary services and focuses on offering targeted, preventative, team-based medicine with the help of a team of professional and bilingual personnel who offer customized care plans for each patient and have knowledge about chronic conditions, enabling patients to stay healthy.
The VP of M&A will be responsible for all aspects of the company’s internal M&A practices including, but not limited to; evaluating potential opportunities, attending workshops and conventions, establishing industry contacts, completing business diligence, as well as closely interacting with the PE sponsor to drive operational improvements. Candidates should have strong business judgment, communication, and networking skills.
The VP of M&A will report to the PE deal team. He/she will dive the company’s internal M&A practice and work with the PE sponsor to drive value for the Company. He/she will occasionally liaise with team leads and department heads.
We are seeking dynamic professionals at leading private equity firms or in corporate development roles with a strong track record in executing healthcare services transactions.


• Oversee the process from sourcing through diligence, deal structure, and execution.
• Manages relationships with external partners, including banks, legal, auditing, accounting, and valuation teams.
• Formulates acquisition implementation plans to ensure projects are completed on time and budget; identify appropriate stakeholders and resources required for each project.
• Work closely with legal resources on documents needed for transactions such as NDA/CA, LOI, term sheets, purchase agreement documents, and closing documents.
• Work closely with Finance on vetting pro formas, establishing pro-rations or working capital and capitalization options.
• Develop tools to ensure successful valuations
• Develop in depth investment memorandums and present to senior management regarding rationale of affiliation investments.
• Work closely with the executive management team to assist in the development of presentation materials for quarterly meetings with the platforms’ Board of Directors.
• Provide leadership toward additional value-added activities and support operational and departmental excellence.


• Strong business acumen, excellent Financial Performance, and Analysis skills, and the ability to perform strategic analysis are required.
• Strong project management skills are required; must be able to manage several projects simultaneously.
• At least seven years of experience analyzing Mergers & Acquisition targets.
• A solid understanding of and experience in the transaction process, including deal structuring, valuation, due diligence, negotiation, and integration.
• Must demonstrate sound judgment.
• Strong written and oral communications skills are required. Able to clearly and concisely convey complex information.
• Must have the ability to work effectively and efficiently with business leaders.
• Must be a strategic and analytical thinker with the ability to focus on the details, synthesize broad amounts of information into actionable information for executives.
• Team player with the ability to build broad relationships internally and externally.
• Excellent finance and accounting skills with knowledge of key and emerging issues impacting growth in the healthcare industry.
• Embraces diversity within the work environment and consistently deals with internal and external customers in a friendly and respectful manner; supports teamwork and cooperation with partners in daily activities
