POSITION SCOPE:
The Account Director is responsible for working closely with the Vice President of Sales. Together you will oversee the relationships of the company with its most important clients. You will be responsible for obtaining and maintaining long term key customers by comprehending their requirements to promote our company’s solutions. The ideal candidate will be apt in building strong relationships with strategic customers. The goal is to contribute to sustaining and growing our business to achieve long-term success.
ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Manage and nurture specific customer relationships; accountable for all commercial aspects of assigned accounts
- Develop customer proposals for new products and projects for assigned customers
- Conduct regular internal customer calls to address issues and ensure smooth operations.
- Generate comprehensive customer KPI reports providing insights into performance.
- Actively work to generate new business and revenue opportunities with assigned customers.
- Prepare formal and informal customer presentations for both existing and new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure effective fulfillment of client needs.
- Monitor Company performance against service level agreements and proactively address any issues.
- Utilize systems to review and report on relationship profitability and efficiency.
- Manage the tracking and presentation of customer continuous improvement programs.
- Undertake any other duties as assigned by the company.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS degree in Business, the Sciences, Engineering, or Operations Management. MBA or MS preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in the food industry preferably in supply chain or operations.
- Previous project management experience working in a cross-functional team environment preferred
- Demonstrated ability to learn technical subject matter, and to effectively convey technology capabilities to customers.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Independent, strongly self-motivated, team player.
- Proficient with computer technology and MS Office applications.
- Proven experience in customer relationship management and operations
- Ability to Travel – 25%
