Our client, a ~$50M construction company backed by private equity, is seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to assist the current accounting team with some clean-up & catch-up to finalize the year-end financials. If you thrive in a construction environment and assisting with WIP schedules this is the perfect opportunity for you! Our client wants to move ASAP to get this position filled.

Location: Millersville, MD
Schedule: Hybrid (2 days in office)
Start Date: ASAP
Hourly Rate: ~$50/HR
Duration: 2-3 Months

MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • 2+ years of experience the construction industry
  • Proficiency in % of completion accounting in the construction industry
  • Experience with monthly WIP reporting
  • Proven ability to close month-end within 15 days or less
  • Experience supporting the annual audit process
  • Intermediate Excel skills including pivot tables and lookups

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with Microsoft Business Central
  • CPA or MBA designation
  • Previous experience in a PE-backed company
