Interim Senior Accountant
Fully Remote
$45-50/hour DOE
We’re working with a growing company in the healthcare industry that is looking to bring on an Interim Senior Accountant to assist through a period of transition involving a system conversion and accounting clean-up. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in a healthcare information/services environment who enjoys ownership of the monthly accounting cycle and working through system conversions. There is potential for this position to convert to a permanent role in the future, as the company continues to grow.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Ownership of various balance sheet accounts including the monthly close function
- Ownership of related accrual calculations
- Supporting the conversion from Sage 500 to NetSuite, including clean-up efforts
Must Have Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA (highly preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience in the healthcare provider or services industry (highly preferred), or within complex manufacturing or software/technology environments
- Experience working through a system conversion, including account mapping, reclassifications, and investigations/research
- Demonstrated ownership of a balance sheet accounts, including complex accruals, and the related monthly close process of 10 days or faster
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and staying organized while prioritizing high value activities
- Experience with Sage 500 or another older version of Sage (Sage Intacct does not qualify)
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in public accounting with an audit or forensic background
- Experience with NetSuite
- Availability to start the week of 11/3 or 11/10
