Position Title: Interim – Senior Revenue Accountant

Location: Fully Remote
Salary: $60/hr. – $80/hr.
We’re seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to join a collaborative finance team that partners across FP&A, Controllership, and Operations. In this role, you’ll ensure accurate revenue recognition and cost reporting through detailed analysis and process optimization. Job Description:
- Build a strong understanding of the full order-to-cash process and its impact on revenue recognition.
- Conduct monthly and quarterly reviews to validate revenue and cost accuracy.
- Collaborate with IT to enhance reporting and data integrity.
- Partner with Professional Services to ensure proper accounting treatment.
- Prepare recurring financial reports for internal stakeholders.
- Leverage knowledge of quoting and revenue systems to improve workflows.
- Execute SOX controls and maintain compliance standards.
- Post journal entries and confirm accurate revenue and cost allocations.
- Safeguard process integrity through system and control oversight.
- Support audits and contribute to special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
- 3–5 years of accounting experience with a focus on revenue and ASC 606 compliance.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Experience in SaaS or Professional Services environments; public company exposure is a plus.
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP tools like D365 (high preferred), NetSuite, Oracle, SAP.
