As a collaborative technical expert, the Sr. Process Engineering Manager drives the exploration and implementation of advanced manufacturing technologies to deliver breakthrough innovations. This individual offers a fresh perspective in
complex scenarios, challenging conventional thinking and assumptions to uncover solutions for new product innovation projects. The Sr. Process Engineering Manager will have exceptional influence and problem-solving abilities and will lead
technical processes with a mindset for driving pragmatic solutions, and cost-effective solutions that will elevate operational efficiency and excellence for Simply Good.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for understanding and aligning business strategies, customer expectations, and consumer needs to effectively manage and prioritize innovation execution activities, ensuring the successful delivery of new products.
  • Accountable for delivering streamlined, consistent, and efficient processes that yield high-quality, high-output results.
  • Responsible for vetting and selecting process and packaging technologies that meet project success criteria.
  • Utilizes a risk-based design approach to assess and clearly communicate technical, operational, financial, and other potential risks to Operations leadership and cross-functional partners, ensuring alignment with new product concepts.
  • Serves as a subject-matter expert (SME) on multiple processes, technologies, and platforms, providing service, support, and consulting across the organization and the contract manufacturing network.
  • Applies technical expertise to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities, enhancing quality, throughput, and yield with contract manufacturing partners.
  • Collaborates with Simply Good’s contract manufacturing team to assess and integrate new production technologies.
  • Works cross-functionally with R&D and Quality teams to ensure seamless process and production alignment.
  • Provides technical support for problem resolution and implementation of improvements with existing co-manufacturing partners as well as new partners across the network.

KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:

  • Prior experience with technical stage gate process
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and execute tactically
  • Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey concepts, methodologies and processes to all levels of the organization.
  • High degree of accountability and ownership with demonstrated flexibility/adaptability.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a high-growth, high-change environment

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS, Engineering
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in CPG (food / beverage manufacturing, ideal)
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in R&D, operations or plant engineering, required
  • Experience managing product or process commercialization/optimization and/or productivity
  • Prior experience with vendor relationships to influence change
  • *Work is performed in a fast-paced office environment and may be stressful at times. Work may require sitting for long periods of time; requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, calculator, telephone, copier and fax machine and scanner.

The health, satisfaction and well-being of our employees are important to us and an integral part of our organization’s goals. In this spirit, we are excited to share the available compensation for this role, which includes a base salary range and an annual short-term incentive.

The base salary range is: $130,000 – $145,000, exclusive of benefits or additional incentives (https://www.thesimplygoodfoodscompany.com/careers). Additionally, this position is eligible for a 20% annual short-term incentive. If you are hired at Simply Goods Foods, your final base salary compensation will be determined based upon such factors as: geographic locations, skills, training, education and/or experience. Please keep in mind that hiring at the compensation range maximum would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.
