SUMMARY:
Vice President-Global Sales

Reports to: COO

The VP, Global Sales will be responsible for leading and executing the company’s sales strategy, driving revenue growth, and managing the sales team. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership and communication skills capable of inspiring teams and driving results.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop plans and strategies for developing business and achieving the company’s Domestic and International sales goals for maximizing the penetration into specialty chains- stores leading to successful placement into FDM accounts.
  • Work closely with Executive Management to build strategies and effective marketing plans to build brand presence.
  • Work and collaborate with the Director of International Sales to build global brand presence
  • Manage and develop the International and Domestic Sales Teams operations, and resources to increase market penetration and deliver profitable growth.
  • Develop sales quotes and track performance metrics via industry benchmarked KPI’s to optimize effectiveness and motivation.
  • Actively participate in the annual budget and quarterly reforecast process with the executive team
  • Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
  • Plan, develop, and implement sales promotional programs including scans, discounts, and other promotional programs.
  • Leverage first and third-party data in order to make informed strategic decisions relative to the overall growth in penetration and market share
  • Hire, develop and train sales staff through the development and measurement of annual financial and personal objectives in quarterly intervals
  • Lead weekly sales meeting for the Domestic and International Sales Teams
  • Collaborate with the Marketing leadership team to build brand awareness and optimize sales channel penetration
  • Define and coordinate sales and product training programs that enable staff to achieve their potential and support company sales objectives.
  • Build relationships with key customers and distributors both domestically and internationally.
  • Travel domestically, and at times internationally, to represent the company in trade shows and develop key relationships.
  • Provide input to senior leadership in the development and administration of sales incentive compensation programs.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing: MBA is a plus
  • Minimum of 10 years of sales experience within a domestic/international Sports Nutrition or Consumer Packaged Goods
  • Sales and Marketing experience in Sports Nutrition industry preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years in a leadership/management position as Director/Vice President of Sales
  • Focused and results driven record of consistent success achieving aggressive targets, and producing consistent revenue and profitably performance
  • Able to travel domestically internationally
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
