Location: On-site daily for 2-3 months in Lancaster, PA for training then moving to hybrid 3 days in 2 days out

Position Overview:

We are seeking an Accounting Specialist to join the client services team within this growing insurance group. In this role, you will gain accounting & finance exposure to a variety of areas within the operations & client service aspects of the organization. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in Excel and a solid foundation in finance or accounting. Experience within the insurance industry is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and manage monthly billing to customers, including month-end reconciliation and trend analysis
  • Utilize advanced Excel skills to create pivot tables, V-lookups, and perform data analysis from scratch.
  • Perform month-end close duties including bank reconciliations and correcting journal entries
  • Prepare monthly invoices for up 200 customers each month
  • Contribute to process improvements and efficiency within the department.

Must-Haves Qualifications:

  • Experience in a role requiring general accounting duties, reconciliations and/or financial/data analysis (can include internship experience).
  • Proficiency in Excel, including creating Pivot Tables and V-lookups from scratch.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or related field
  • 1+ year of professional work experience
