The Company is seeking a Director FP&A to lead data analytics and segmented finance, operations, and strategic planning with high-level of exposure across the organization. In this role, you will be responsible for all facets of corporate and consolidated financial planning and analysis. You are a key contributor to business planning and forecasting, including the development of annual operating budgets and support ad hoc projects. The FP&A lead will provide integral support to the CFO, Sales Directors, Operations, and the CEO.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Key contributor providing clear insights into drivers of business growth, risks, and opportunities
• Contribute to quarterly close, forecast and budget planning cycles
• Gather, consolidate, and analyze operating and financial results, including preparing internal and external reporting deliverables and analyzing and explaining trends & drivers
• Identify and drive initiatives to continuously improve, automate and scale forecasting and reporting tools/systems
• Assist with ad hoc strategic and operational projects as required
• Enhance transparency of profitability by segment and suggest improvements
• Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly deck for internal meetings as well as for meetings with private equity sponsor
• Support key functions in procurement and annual price reviews
• Participate in the development and maintenance of performance metrics, methods, and targets
• Review product costs and analyze impacts to pricing, make recommendations to sales and leadership
• Work closely with Sales to interpret market data and make recommendations
• Ability to identify trends and discern root cause from large sets of data using creative solutions
• Conduct analysis and data interpretation to be able to explain the “why” behind variances and trends
• Provide variance analysis and research financial irregularities
• Provide analysis and assistance where needed with respect to monthly financial close
• Strong presentation, reporting and communication skills
• Assist with special projects as requested and prepare ad hoc analysis as necessary
• Ability to work effectively independently and work under deadlines
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field required
• CPA / MBA preferred
• Minimum of 7+ years of related experience
• Any transaction related experience preferred
• Individual should be a power user in excel and have strong experience with pivot tables, matches, sumifs, and other key formulas
• PowerBI experience
• ERP system experience, Sage experience preferred
• Experience in a PE backed environment preferred
• SQL knowledge preferred
• MS Office and other applicable financial software applications – excellent excel and PowerPoint skills
• Significant experience with three statement models and iterative reference preferred
• Excellent communication skills and with the ability to interact at all levels within the organization
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
