⏳ Contract-to-Hire | Initial Duration: ~3 months | 🚀 Start: ASAP
We’re supporting a high-growth organization in urgent need of a Director of Technical Accounting/Revenue to take ownership of complex revenue recognition and technical accounting functions. The current individual is transitioning out in two weeks, so they’re looking for someone who can jump in and lead quickly and effectively.
This is a contract-to-hire opportunity, and the company is open to converting the right individual after the initial project period. You’ll work closely with the Sr. Director of FP&A, the Controller, and other key stakeholders.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Oversee and guide the review of revenue recognition under ASC 606
- Analyze complex customer contracts: expansions, modifications, renewals, commercial terms
- Prepare and review technical accounting memos
- Conduct deal reviews and mentor team members involved in deal preparation
- Manage credit memo processes and analytics consulting
- Interface with RevPro, ensuring revenue automation tools are functioning and aligned
- Work with large datasets and complex Excel models (thousands of rows, advanced formulas)
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Public accounting background, preferably from a Big 4 firm
- Deep experience in SaaS Revenue Recognition (ASC 606)
- Hands-on experience with RevPro
- Strong technical memo writing and policy documentation skills
- Excel wizardry: advanced formula development and data manipulation
Nice-to-Haves:
- Prior experience implementing automation tools like RevPro
- People leadership or team management experience
