Our client, a category leader within the CPG industry, is currently experiencing tremendous growth is seeking a highly motivated Director/Vice President of Social Media Strategy to lead and expand their marketing efforts for their iconic brand. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive social media strategies that drive engagement, brand awareness, and overall business growth. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with an innovative organization focused on community building and new user acquisition.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Serve as a player/coach, blending strategy, content creation, and data analysis to develop and implement social media strategies that drive brand visibility, audience engagement, and overall business growth.
  • Create, manage, and optimize social content for various platforms ensuring alignment with the brand’s voice, objectives, and broader marketing priorities.
  • Oversee social media content planning, production publishing, and community management for all social platforms including but not limited to Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, etc.
  • Monitor key metrics, analyze performance data, and adjust tactics for maximum impact, leveraging social listening and real-time insights to refine strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, agencies, and stakeholders to integrate social media initiatives with broader business goals and enhance consumer engagement.
  • Identify opportunities to surprise and delight audiences, foster relationships with micro-influencers, and capitalize on trending topics for agile content creation.
  • Regularly attend key meetings, execute priority tactics, and provide performance reports and actionable insights that inform ongoing improvements and strategic decisions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or an advanced degree in business, communications, or marketing with 10+ years of communications experience, including at least 5 years leading social media at a senior level.
  • Must have led social media for a consumer product brand
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategies that elevate brand reputation, engage priority audiences, and drive measurable business results.
  • Excellent storytelling, project management, and analytical skills, coupled with a passion for innovation and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
