A growing construction company is seeking an experienced SAP Financial Consultant to support a critical SAP S/4HANA implementation initiative. This consultant will partner closely with the Controller, finance leadership, and IT teams to lead financial design, workflows, and data migration activities within SAP. This role is ideal for a senior finance professional with hands-on experience driving SAP S/4HANA implementations in a construction or project based environment, who is comfortable operating at the intersection of Finance and IT.

The position is ideally hybrid in Pennsauken, NJ, though fully remote candidates will be considered if they meet all qualifications and are open to periodic travel to New Jersey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the financial workstream of an SAP S/4HANA implementation from design through go live
  • Drive SAP S/4HANA data migration efforts, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with finance requirements
  • Design and optimize service orders, financial workflows, and business processes within SAP
  • Partner closely with SAP developers, IT teams, and finance leadership to translate business needs into system functionality
  • Serve as a liaison between Finance and IT, ensuring alignment across cross functional stakeholders
  • Provide guidance on best practices for SAP financial configurations in a construction or similar project driven environment
  • Support testing, validation, and post implementation stabilization efforts

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Proven experience leading an SAP S/4HANA implementation, preferably within a construction or project based organization
  • 5+ years of hands on accounting and/or finance experience
  • Strong experience designing service orders and workflows in SAP
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross functionally with Finance, IT, and other business stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate financial requirements into technical solutions
