A growing, entrepreneurial hospitality and leisure company is seeking a hands-on and strategic Head of Finance & Accounting to lead its corporate finance function during an exciting period of expansion.

The company operates a multi-location portfolio and is entering its next phase of growth through new development, strategic partnerships, and expansion of its footprint. The ideal candidate will be more than a traditional accounting leader. This person will serve as a trusted business partner to the CEO and operating leadership, while building the infrastructure, processes, team, and financial discipline needed to support continued growth.

The Opportunity

The Head of Finance & Accounting will have broad responsibility for the company’s corporate finance organization, including:

• Lead corporate accounting, financial reporting and controllership
• Own FP&A, annual budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning
• Develop financial models to support growth initiatives, capital projects and new locations
• Oversee treasury, cash management, banking relationships and liquidity
• Manage lender relationships, debt obligations, covenant compliance and financial reporting
• Oversee tax strategy and compliance across multiple jurisdictions
• Establish and strengthen financial controls, policies and governance
• Lead financial due diligence and analysis related to new opportunities, partnerships and expansion
• Evaluate the financial implications of contracts, operating agreements and strategic partnerships
• Oversee financial systems, technology, reporting tools and process improvement initiatives
• Develop consistent financial reporting and processes across a multi-property/multi-location environment
• Build, lead and develop a high-performing finance and accounting organization
• Partner closely with operations to improve financial performance, accountability and decision-making
• Serve as a key financial advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team

• Commercially minded, with an understanding that finance exists to support and drive the business
• Highly analytical with strong financial modeling, forecasting and decision-support capabilities
• A collaborative leader who can build, mentor and develop a finance team
• Comfortable balancing growth, operational needs, financial discipline and risk management
• High-integrity, accountable and capable of exercising sound judgment with sensitive financial information
• Someone who enjoys building the plane while flying it rather than simply maintaining an established infrastructure

Ideal Background

• 12+ years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience
• Significant experience in hospitality, resorts, hotels, leisure, entertainment or another multi-location operating environment
• Experience leading finance across multiple properties, locations or business units
• Previous experience as a CFO, VP Finance, Head of Finance, Division Finance Leader or similar senior-level role
• Strong background across accounting, FP&A, treasury and financial strategy
• Experience supporting growth, expansion, acquisitions, new locations or strategic partnerships
• Experience with lender relationships, banking and liquidity management
• Demonstrated success building and developing finance teams
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field required
• MBA, CPA or other advanced credential preferred
