Our client is a prestigious local university and research center seeking a Human Resources Operations Director to oversee and transform the multi-faceted HR processes within its largest division of 2,500 employees (non-faculty). This key HR Leadership role will help create a high-performance culture, focused on excellence in service, key performance initiatives, and performance reporting in Workday. The HR Operations Director will collaborate with HR Leaders across the division and Central HR to develop and implement long-range plans necessary to incorporate operational efficiencies, and ensuring continuous improvement. They will lead a team of HR Generalists while partnering with HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition to facilitate change management initiatives, after implementing process and system changes.

Priorities include:

• Automation and reduction of manual HR processes
• Streamline HR processes: employee data, onboarding, terminations
• Organizational improvement (Kaisen)
• Compliance improvement
• Create consistent and standard reporting practices within Workday HRIS

Responsibilities:

• Manage the ongoing delivery of people processes and programs, setting objectives and timelines, tracking owners and achievements, and assessing progress and blockers.
• Act as strategic liaison to University HR, Shared Services, and Workday Solutions teams on matters of HRIS optimization, and process efficiencies including onboarding, applicant tracking systems, onboarding, immigration, reporting, and other core HR functions.
• Develop effective, productive relationships with unit HR leaders, operations, financial, divison leaders, leveraging these relationships to produce client centric HR solutions.
• Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and other HR SMEs to facilitate the change management process after implementation of process or systems changes.
• Provide overall functional direction to HR staff on matters related to design and delivery of HR programs, process changes, special projects ensuring timely execution and high-quality outcomes.
• Direct the operations of all reporting and HR analytics including, but not limited to, HR performance dashboards, compliance reporting, and custom reporting for the Division.
• Establish standard operating procedures and ongoing training and documentation for all HR processes and activities within thr Division. Ensure system and people processes are well documented, regularly updated, and end user trained.
• Stay current with innovative HR practices and informed on best-in class practices to improve HR operations effectiveness and ensure excellence in HR service and process delivery.
• Create a high-performance culture including a consistent approach to service level agreements, key performance indicators, and performance reporting.

Ideal candidates will have:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• +8 years human resources experience
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in HR process management leading continuous improvement efforts across the spectrum of HR processes and services.
• Proficiency with people data management and reporting.
• Experience working in a complex, matrixed environment.
