We’re working with a national leader in landscape construction to identify an Interim Accounting Manager to support their Development segment during a leadership transition. This segment includes construction of parks, walkways, and structures.
POSITION DETAILS:
- Location: Blue Bell, PA preferred (Hybrid – flexible for the interim period)
- Start Date: ASAP (interviews via Teams this week)
- Duration: 3 months, with potential for temp-to-perm if local
ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Interim Manager will oversee financial reporting and margin analysis for 25 development branches, working closely with a Senior Accountant on the team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review job cost coding, billings, and project margin schedules
- Support month-end close processes across multiple branches
- Analyze % completion schedules and WIP
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during month-end to finalize adjustments
- Heavy use of Excel for reporting and analysis
MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of accounting experience, including month-end close and journal entries
- Background in construction industry accounting
- Strong Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs)
- Experience with % completion
- Worked within multi-unit/cost center environments
NICE-TO-HAVES:
- Experience supervising or reviewing work of junior team members
- Familiarity with JDE and/or OneStream systems
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- The permanent team is onsite 4 days/week, but flexibility will be provided during the interim period.
