Interim Sales & Use Tax Specialist
Remote | 3–6 Month Contract | Immediate Start

We’re partnering with a growing, mission-driven organization seeking an experienced Interim Sales & Use Tax Specialist to step into a critical role supporting multi-state Sales & Use Tax compliance while helping prepare the organization for the implementation of a new tax automation platform.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership, improving processes, and making an immediate impact during a period of growth and transformation.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Prepare and file Sales & Use Tax returns across multiple jurisdictions
• Review and analyze General Ledger activity within NetSuite
• Research taxability issues and ensure compliance with state and local tax requirements
• Apply for Sales Tax registrations and exemption certificates as needed
• Support the implementation of Anrok, the organization’s new Sales & Use Tax automation platform
• Help strengthen processes, improve efficiencies, and ensure accurate tax reporting

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of Sales & Use Tax experience
• Experience managing Sales & Use Tax filings across 25+ states
• Strong hands-on NetSuite experience (required)
• Experience reconciling tax accounts and working with General Ledger data
• Ability to work independently and quickly become a trusted member of the accounting team

Preferred Qualifications

• Anrok implementation experience
• Avalara or other Sales Tax automation software
• Experience supporting nonprofit (501(c)(3)) organizations
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus
