We are seeking a fully remote Intellectual Property Paralegal with 3+ years of experience to assist with US patent prosecution, licensing, and occasional litigation matter. This position is 100% remote with offices in DC and Philadelphia. This position is for someone who needs some flexibility assisting attorneys on the East Coast. The billable hourly requirement is 1400 hours. This position does not have health insurance coverage. Position offers a great team environment – ideal for a self-starter who does not need to be micromanaged.
Responsibilities:
- Draft U.S. patent prosecution and some international matters
- Draft provisional and non-provisional, and design application transmittal papers
- Draft and coordinate execution of Assignments, Powers of Attorney and Declarations
- Draft response shells, Information Disclosure Statements, Issue fee payments and related documents
- Responsible for reporting letters and fee reminders
- Conduct research to find patent or trademark information searching the USPTO database
- Ability to communicate with clients, attorneys and patent agents
- Review and docket incoming patent applications
Qualifications:
- At least 3+ years of patent prosecution paralegal experience
- Ability to organize and prioritize – highly detail-oriented
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
- Understanding of technology in the intellectual property space
- Self-starter who does not need to be micromanaged
- Bachelors degree preferred but not required if you have a paralegal degree or certificate
