We are seeking a Legal Administrator to handle the firm’s daily operations, including Human Resources, Accounting, and Technology.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience with a degree in Business Management, Human Resources, Accounting or Technology, extensive experience in lieu of a college degree may be considered

Skills & Abilities:

  • Must be self-motivated, proactive, goal-oriented, attentive to details and possess organizational, supervisory and management skills
  • Must also be able to identify, define and analyze management issues and create solutions/strategies to address them
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task are critical
  • Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, MS Outlook and Excel
  • Ability to learn firm’s dedicated software systems

Responsibilities

  • Implement and supervise policies set by management and assist partners with developing and implementing the firm’s overall vision to maximize profitability
  • Prepare agendas and attend and participate in Partners’ meetings for discussions on firm profitability and efficiencies and monitor for return on investment (ROI)
  • Prepare financial reports for discussions as well as oversee accounting and billing functions
  • Responsible for coordination of payroll and the firm pension plan with their administrator as well as provide tax information for an outside CPA firm
  • Assist with business development and strategies for long-range growth strategies while monitoring legal trends and interface with marketing
  • Responsible for recruitment, training and development of firm staff and evaluations
  • Responsible for firm technology programs and communication systems with outside vendors
  • Managing firm’s workers’ and unemployment compensation plans
  • Oversight and maintenance of key personnel life insurance policies
  • Manage the firm’s computer technology and communications systems and programs to ensure all hardware, software and network is current, secure and optimized to meet the firm’s needs with outside vendor
  • Develop a budget for the maintenance and upgrade of computer systems, both hardware and software
  • Manage the buildings, facilities and office space while making recommendations for future planning and renovations as needed
  • Implementing work product quality control systems
  • Assisting in the development of, and adherence to, firm professional standards
  • Ensure client development and marketing activities of the firm are appropriate and beneficial to the firm’s success
