Associate/Manager – Mergers & Acquisitions
This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing, world-class provider of payments & related software and technology that is recognized as a premium business in the financial technology sector by its customers and competitors. The company is one of the largest independent mid-market merchant acquirers, providing of credit card payment processing services and technology. The company enables merchants, developers and resellers to deliver current and emerging payment solutions.
Since partnering with Parthenon Capital Partners in 2019, our business has grown considerably with 300+ employees and a global presence. We are a dynamic company that has achieved strong organic growth (20%+ per annum) and the acquisition of 4 strategic tuck-in acquisitions during 2020.
As a member of our team, you will work with key members of the senior leadership team, taking day-to-day responsibility for key aspects of the M&A function, including front-line responsibility for developing and monitoring new opportunities and executing critical acquisitions, investments and other strategic initiatives.
In this critical role, you will focus on the following:
1. Developing, maintaining and expanding the company’s acquisition pipeline;
2. Coordinating dialogue around various strategic opportunities;
3. Coordinating due diligence activities including in-depth financial and strategic analysis, financial modeling and integration plans;
4. Negotiating, structuring and documenting potential acquisitions
5. Crafting presentations for the company’s lenders and board members related to potential transactions; and
6. Quarterbacking other strategically important projects.
Your primary area of responsibility will be day to day management of the company’s M&A function in partnership with the company’s SVP of M&A. Other critical aspects of your role will be to work closely with the CEO and CFO in support of critical strategic initiatives and in the development and articulation of the Company’s overall corporate strategy.
We are seeking an energetic, aggressive businessperson who cares immensely about delivering results and carries strong desire to grow and learn. You must have direct transactional experience (preferably as a senior analyst or associate at a well-respected private equity firm or investment bank) and a demonstrated track record of accomplishment. The strongest candidates will be those who have demonstrated an ability to deliver results in a self-directed environment. Candidates must have at least 1-3 years of relevant experience.
