Join a dynamic and fun accounting team with a fast-paced work environment! Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to provide coverage during a leave, with strong potential for the right candidate to transition into a permanent role.This role requires a detail-oriented and experienced accounting professional who can manage multiple client books and deliver high-quality work with confidence.

Position Summary:

The Senior Accountant will analyze financial information, prepare reports, and maintain accurate records for multiple clients. This role involves managing general ledger reviews, processing payroll, and overseeing accounts payable/receivable while adhering to reporting and procedural standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, examine, and analyze financial records and reports for accuracy and compliance.
  • Develop and post recurring and non-recurring journal entries.
  • Perform bi-weekly payroll processing.
  • Manage general ledger reviews and prepare monthly invoices.
  • Oversee accounts receivable processing, collections, and accounts payable approvals.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations and trust disbursement administration.
  • Prepare investment entries and tax compliance documentation, including quarterly payments.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting Manager and Controller to implement internal controls.
  • Support external client accounting needs by reviewing and correcting entries as needed.
  • Assist with SSAE 16 compliance and related quarterly testing.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5-7+ years in accounting, preferably with client-facing responsibilities.
  • Education: CPA certification preferred.

Skills:

  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel (advanced knowledge of VLOOKUPs, HLOOKUPs required).
  • Familiarity with Sage Intacct is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Work Schedule & Environment:

  • Hybrid Role: 2-3 days in-office; remaining days remote.
  • Office Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (between these hours)
    • Start Date: Mid-December
