JOB SUMMARY:

A well-established and rapidly growing organization in the distribution industry is urgently seeking a Senior Accounting Consultant to join their team. This is a high-impact role for a seasoned accounting professional with a strong foundation in general accounting, deep expertise in accounts receivable, and hands-on experience with ERP system implementations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading AR functions, driving process improvements, and leveraging advanced Microsoft Excel skills (including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, SUMIFs, and complex formulas) to support financial operations and reporting.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Lead and manage the Accounts Receivable function, ensuring timely and accurate billing, collections, and reconciliations.
• Oversee cash application processes, ensuring proper allocation and resolution of discrepancies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Assist in the implementation and optimization of ERP systems, including data migration, testing, and user training.
• Utilize advanced Excel functions (e.g., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, SUMIFs, and complex formulas) for financial analysis and reporting.
• Support general accounting functions including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
• Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial operations and reporting.

MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS & BENEFITS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting with a focus on accounts receivable and cash applications.
• Demonstrated experience leading AR functions and driving process improvements.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, MS Dynamics, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.) and involvement in implementation projects.
• Strong MS Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
