Senior Legal Corporate Contracts/Regulatory/Compliance Counsel
General Description and Duties:
- Provides legal advice and counseling on a broad range of legal issues that arise in privately-held renewable energy asset management and development company, with a goal of enabling the company’s objectives while managing legal and compliance risk.
- Manage the legal contract review and approval process.
- Helps manage corporate governance processes
- Drafts, implements, and manages legal and compliance policies.
- Trains and educates various functions on legal and compliance issues.
- From time to time, advises on potential complex business transactions, such as project acquisitions, overseeing outside counsel as necessary
- From time to time, drafts, negotiates, and interprets various types of commercial contracts, including sales agreements, supply agreements, consulting agreements, and non-disclosure agreements.”

Minimum Education:
- Juris Doctorate degree from accredited U.S. law school
- Active bar membership in good standing
Minimum Experience:
- Experience with contracts and commercial transactions required
- Experience in renewable energy industry a significant plus
- 5+ years of experience as a practicing attorney, preferably with some in-house experience
