Senior Manager, Maintenance

Position Summary

Our client, a leading manufacturer in a regulated industry, is seeking a Senior Manager, Maintenance to lead maintenance operations across a multi-shift manufacturing facility. This individual will be responsible for driving equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, CMMS effectiveness, and team performance while minimizing downtime and supporting operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead maintenance operations across all shifts, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable equipment performance.
  • Develop and coach maintenance supervisors and technicians, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize uptime and reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Drive CMMS utilization, work order management, maintenance planning, scheduling, and asset history accuracy.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and EHS to improve equipment reliability, eliminate recurring failures, and support production goals.
  • Monitor key maintenance metrics including PM compliance, MTTR, MTBF, schedule adherence, and equipment performance.
  • Manage maintenance planning, labor allocation, spare parts readiness, and resource utilization.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EHS, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to improve maintenance effectiveness and equipment reliability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, or a related technical field preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive maintenance leadership experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment, including multi-shift operations.
  • Strong experience with CMMS, preventive maintenance, reliability engineering, maintenance planning, and work management systems.
  • Experience within a regulated manufacturing environment (medical device, pharmaceutical, consumer products, food & beverage, or similar) is preferred.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, SMRP, CMRP, or similar certifications are a plus.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to build high-performing teams, improve maintenance performance, and drive operational excellence.
