The Digital Marketing Manager is collaborative role that is responsible for managing all of our owned digital marketing assets in the U.S. and Canadian markets, including our mobile app, website, SEO, email marketing and 3rd party technology platforms. This individual is integral with the partnership between our eCommerce team and business initiatives as we continue to evolve our digital footprint. In addition, the Digital Marketing Manager will work closely with the Director, Digital Marketing to develop, recommend and implement integrated digital marketing strategies that emphasize the conversion path-to-purchase, as well as, address the marketing challenges of a changing consumer landscape.


  • Execute digital marketing tactics across our owned digital assets; Meet budget and strategic objectives
  • Oversee and direct our digital marketing agencies and vendors
  • Lead generation, member acquisition, and retention of Atkins community
  • Improve visits and conversion rates by continuously optimizing website experience; Partner with agency designers and web developers to execute daily website optimization projects (i.e., A/B and multivariate tests, etc.)
  • Design and enhance the mobile app experience; Partner with agency designers and app developers to execute app updates – Continuously improve download and conversion rates
  • Manage our organic search (SEO) marketing channel (i.e., analytics, technical audits, on-page and off-page optimizations); Partner with agency for technical SEO projects – Integrate SEO best practices for the content production process across many assets
  • Convert website visitors to leads and loyal customers by identifying ways to increase website traffic and move users with ease through our web journey; Measure, test, and improve website conversion rate, CRO strategy and user experience
  • Implement new contracts and manage contract renewals for appropriate agency and vendors
  • Update content calendars weekly; Assist developing a D2C, marketing, promotion and product calendar – Align brand campaigns, new product launches, eCommerce, brick and mortar retail events and promotional initiatives
  • Compile monthly reports to review qualitative and quantitative performance; Communicate best practices and learned lessons; Provide monthly email performance reports – Share opportunities to optimize campaigns and improve open and click-through rates
  • Execute weekly email campaigns by collaborating with our email design agency and email service provider
  • Continuously optimize our email strategy and efforts; Test all emails for QA and ensure all links are working properly and creative content is accurate
  • Collaborate with appropriate agency to capture key site performance metrics; Define, test and analyze the impact of all communication efforts to improve the lifetime value of our users
  • Review, approve, and track appropriate agency and vendor invoices
  • Participate / Lead special projects and assignments, as required
  • Participate in all other miscellaneous SMPL and departmental tasks, as required
  • Attend departmental/cross-functional meetings


  • Strong knowledge of best practices for email marketing, rules, strategies and ESPs (i.e., Salesforce)
  • Knowledge in EUGDPR regulations and compliance protocol
  • Working knowledge of HTML and ECRM
  • Knowledge of current and evolving internet technologies
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Presentation, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Knowledge of website survey software (i.e., Survey Monkey or Qualtrics)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Hands on experience using quantitative analysis to solve business issues
  • Expert knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) and web usability best practices, highly preferred
  • Familiarity with Photoshop or other image editing software
  • Familiarity with a variety of web browsers (i.e. Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Opera, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to create programs that generate new leads, website visits, customer acquisition and conversion
  • Ability to track, source and summarize applicable data and synthesize information coming from various sources
  • Ability to handle projects and duties concurrently and prioritize work effectively
  • Knowledge of negotiating methods, principles and concepts; Takes ideas from concept to execution
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy; Strong presentation and writing skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams and leadership + external peers
  • Expertise in ADA compliance standards, highly preferred


  • BA or BS degree, required
  • Minimum 6 years’ progressive work experience in digital marketing and platforms, required
  • Experience with website marketing and mobile apps, required
  • Experience working with or at an agency, required
  • Experience using A/B testing software, required
  • Experience using rating and review software platforms (i.e., TurnTo, Bazzarvoice, etc.)
  • Professional experience with web analytics packages such as: Google Analytics, SiteImprove, Similarweb, etc.
  • Experience optimizing copy for websites and email communications
  • Expertise in organizing and posting web content via Content Management Systems
  • Food database experience, highly preferred
  • Experience using data manipulation tools such as Excel (or SAS, SQL, SPSS), highly preferred

  • The projected annual base salary range for this role is: $100,000 to $130,000
  • The annual short-term incentive target for this role is: 15% of your annual base salary
