Sr. Print Production Artist
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Are you a detail-oriented and talented Senior Print Production Artist ready to make a lasting impact? Join Simply Good Foods’ in-house creative team, where you will play a key role in bringing our brands to life with precision and consistency. Collaborating with a dynamic team of designers, project managers, cross-functional partners, and external vendors, you will ensure brand integrity across all materials while supporting strategic business goals. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create, manage and update flawless packaging mechanicals, point-of-sale displays, and other visual assets, ensuring quality control and timely delivery.
- Review, proof, and organize artwork to ensure it adheres to brand guidelines, is production-ready, and is named and formatted correctly.
- Route artwork for approval, manage sign-offs, and actively reconcile feedback from multiple stakeholders.
- Package, pre-flight, and release files to printers, media partners, and production vendors, ensuring accurate file setup and meeting specifications.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions for internal packaging artwork issues and last-minute revisions.
- Maintain open communication with print vendors to coordinate art submissions, approvals, manage revisions, and proactively address any production-related issues to ensure accurate and timely delivery of printed materials.
- Take direction, multi-task, and pivot according to workflow and deadlines while updating statuses in project management tools.
- Optimize and manipulate images for print, online, and mobile applications, including advanced retouching, clipping paths, and adjustments.
- Organize final assets for the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system, ensuring proper file naming and version control.
- Create digital 3D and physical mockups for presentations.
- Conduct press checks (virtual and on-site), ensuring high-quality standards, brand consistency, and color accuracy.
- Support company efforts by attending meetings, providing updates, and assisting with other duties as assigned.
- Work hands-on with designers and creatives, integrating into the process beyond just managing dates.
- Collaborate with internal teams to bring innovative ideas to drive process improvements and maintain efficient production workflows.

- Strong leadership skills with the proven ability to mentor and guide other team members and freelancers in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Ability to educate end users on products and printing processes and technologies.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and proofing skills. The ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and timelines.
- Collaborative mindset with a desire to collaborate and communicate effectively with the creative team as well as cross-functional brand, operations, regulatory, R&D, and legal teams. Effective at building trusting relationships, seeking, and activating all opportunities for continuous improvement, and refining creative production processes and workflows.
- A team player who is also creatively minded and can take on occasional design assignments.
- A flexible and adaptable team member who can work independently as well as collaboratively while maintaining a friendly and positive attitude.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree or certifications in packaging or project management are a plus).
- Minimum 4-6 years in artwork production management, preferably in the fast-moving Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sector.
- Expert knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat) and related packaging design software. Proficiency in Microsoft for Mac, Google Drive, systems such as Adobe Esko WebCenter, Digital Asset Management (DAM), and WorkZone or similar project management software.
- Excellent understanding of various printing processes, print production, prepress, packaging formats, substrates, dielines, UPC/barcodes, and graphic workflows.
- Travel: Up to 30%
** Work is performed in a fast-paced office environment and may be stressful at times. Work may require sitting for long periods of time; requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, calculator, telephone, copier and fax machine and scanner.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
The health, satisfaction and well-being of our employees are important to us and an integral part of our organization’s goals. In this spirit, we are excited to share the available compensation for this role, which includes a base salary range and an annual short-term incentive.
We provide the base salary range, exclusive of benefits or additional incentives (https://www.thesimplygoodfoodscompany.com/careers). Additionally, this position is eligible for a 10% annual short-term incentive. If you are hired at Simply Goods Foods, your final base salary compensation will be determined based upon such factors as: geographic locations, skills, training, education and/or experience. Please keep in mind that hiring at the compensation range maximum would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.
HQ or OFFICE-BASED: CA salary range is: $84,000.00 – 105,000
