Our client, a global leader in the consumer-packaged goods (CPG) industry, with a focus on sustainability and healthy ingredients has retained our practice to place at a Sr. Product Development Food Scientist. This exciting role will lead and drive product innovation & renovation as well as alternate material projects from concept to commercialization. This position will be based onsite in Indianapolis, IN with relocation assistance available if needed. Ideal candidates will have:

• 5+ years of food industry product development experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related disciplines required. Master’s degree or Ph.D. preferred
• Experience leading product development projects from concept to commercialization including writing formulas
• Experience designing new products based on targeted flavor profile, organoleptic parameters such as sweetness, mouth feel, color, shelf life and nutritional content while maintaining adherence to government and industry standards
• Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and drive the opportunity to completion
• Comfortable working cross functionally and leading project teams and meetings
• Working knowledge of government regulations and rules of certification bodies such as Kosher, Halal, Organic, and others as applicable to business
• Experience with beverages is not required but highly desirable
