BrainWorks has been exclusively engaged to identify and recruit a skilled Supply Chain Specialist/Analyst to join a global leader in specialty chemical solutions. With more than a century of innovation, our client operates across multiple industries worldwide, providing tailored chemical auxiliaries and specialties that power everyday products and industrial applications. This role is a unique opportunity to take ownership of end-to-end procurement activities, driving efficiency, cost optimization, and supplier partnerships that directly impact operational success.
Role Highlights:
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies across assigned direct and indirect categories to support business goals.
- Conduct supply market research to anticipate risks, identify cost savings, and uncover opportunities for value creation.
- Evaluate and qualify suppliers, managing performance through KPIs, scorecards, and structured business reviews.
- Lead negotiations, supplier consolidations, and value engineering initiatives to achieve aggressive savings targets.
- Oversee supplier onboarding, qualification, and risk management to ensure continuity and compliance.
- Maintain procurement data accuracy in ERP systems, enabling strong analytics and spend visibility.
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, and Production Planning to align materials with production requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels, adjust MRP planning parameters, and manage purchase orders to keep production on schedule.
- Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes, tools, and practices to enhance efficiency and impact.
Background/Skill Requirements
- At least 3 years of procurement experience, ideally supporting a multi-site manufacturer in the USA marketplace. Foundational understanding of chemical manufacturing processes preferred but not required.
- Bachelor’s degree Supply Chain, Business, Economics or similar preferred.
- Proficiency with MRP systems and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (advanced preferred to include pivot tables).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
