Our client, a leading global supplier of high-quality perishable food products is seeking a Supply Planner to ensure optimal balance between Production Planning and Customer Service by analyzing current practices, establishing best practices, and driving continuous improvements. The Supply Planner is responsible for delivering operational plans and setting day-to-day objectives, acting independently to implement business policies and programs within a defined specialist area. Identifies and resolves daily issues or escalations, continually seeking opportunities for improvement.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Create and maintain finished goods forecasts on a rolling 15-month horizon; share forecasts with internal and external partners.
- Monitor and adjust inventory levels to meet financial targets; communicate changes to leadership for alignment.
- Work with cross-functional teams (Production, Sales, Marketing, Finance) to resolve supply issues, support product launches, and ensure timely product availability.
- Lead monthly Supply Review meetings; participate in S&OP processes and communicate supply and inventory outcomes.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to aging stock, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Track and analyze planning performance metrics (e.g., service level, inventory health), ensuring corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain accurate SAP/APO product master data and act as SAP Super User for supply chain troubleshooting and training.
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of supply planning in a fast-moving perishable consumer goods business
- Proficiency in SAP (or similar ERP), Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and data analysis.
- Detail-oriented, adept at prioritization, and passionate about planning & data analytics.
- Must have strong communication, organizational skills, strategic mindset, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Perishable food product experience a plus.
