WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

The Supply Planner is responsible for delivering specified service rates to our customers, scheduling to efficient factory operations, managing finish goods inventory levels to established targets, and mitigating risk of obsolete inventory for a subset of product lines. Tactically, this includes creating production plans, managing production orders, managing aging inventory activities, and ensuring that the right product is in the right location

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage fill rates and optimize inventory levels for specified product categories.
  • Act as the primary liaison for Supply Chain Planning communications with assigned external manufacturers.
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate weekly production plans for designated external manufacturing sites.
  • Coordinate inventory replenishment processes based on production schedules, current stock levels, customer orders, forecasts, and supply planning parameters.
  • Monitor inventory planning strategy parameters (lead-time, economic order quantity, and statistical safety stock) to enhance customer service and manage working capital efficiently.
  • Aid with identify potential inventory risks, and raising to the appropriate channels.
  • Collaborate across functions to resolve issues, leveraging analytical and planning skills effectively.
  • An active participant in weekly calls with co-manufacturers or repack operations.
  • Determine and communicate production priorities internally and externally during critical situations.
  • Identify and manage capacity constraints to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Promptly escalate capacity or production issues to senior management for timely resolution.
  • Initiate ad hoc repack efforts as needed to maintain high service levels.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with customer service, transportation, warehouse, and co-manufacturing teams to maximize service levels and ensure accurate inventory information sharing.
  • Support weekly meetings to review performance metrics, address issues, and align on inventory strategies.

KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:

  • Effective communication with co-manufacturing and warehouse teams.
  • Analytical proficiency in production schedules, inventory management, and operational problem-solving.
  • Self-motivated with a track record of impactful contributions.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Windows environment, including Excel and Access.
  • Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational abilities with keen attention to detail.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in supply planning, inventory management, or related roles within a manufacturing or consumer goods environment.
  • Strong understanding of inventory planning principles and supply chain processes.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Dynamics 365.
  • Familiarity with advanced planning software, such as Anaplan, for business planning and performance management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

** Work is performed in a fast-paced office environment and may be stressful at times. Work may require sitting for long periods of time; requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, calculator, telephone, copier and fax machine and scanner.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The health, satisfaction and well-being of our employees are important to us and an integral part of our organization’s goals. In this spirit, we are excited to share the available compensation for this role, which includes a base salary range and an annual short-term incentive.
The CO base salary range is: $65,000 – $75,000, exclusive of benefits or additional incentives (https://www.thesimplygoodfoodscompany.com/careers). Additionally, this position is eligible for a 5% annual short-term incentive. If you are hired at Simply Goods Foods, your final base salary compensation will be determined based upon such factors as: geographic locations, skills, training, education and/or experience. Please keep in mind that hiring at the compensation range maximum would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.
