Are you a hands-on finance leader who thrives in high-growth environments and wants to build, shape, and elevate a finance function from the ground up? My client is seeking a VP of Finance to serve as a critical partner to executive leadership, working closely with the CFO to own the FP&A function end-to-end while helping scale a dynamic CPG and manufacturing business. This is a highly visible, seat-at-the-table opportunity to drive strategy, build systems and processes, and create the financial infrastructure needed for the next phase of growth. Ideal for a builder who loves creating structure in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple areas of the business, partnering closely with leadership while helping to build the financial infrastructure needed to support continued expansion. The organization is in a true build-and-scale phase, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys creating structure, influencing strategy, and operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Responsibilities Include:
- Own and lead the end-to-end FP&A function (forecasting, budgeting, modeling, analysis)
- Partner with executive leadership to drive financial strategy and decision-making
- Build and enhance financial processes, reporting, and planning infrastructure
- Lead cash flow forecasting, scenario planning, and long-range modeling
- Develop board materials and deliver executive-level insights
- Provide financial oversight of manufacturing operations and cost structure
- Support commercial finance across retail and e-commerce channels
- Evaluate M&A, capital allocation, and strategic investments
- Lead and develop FP&A team in a hands-on, player-coach capacity
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- 12+ years of progressive finance experience, including leadership roles
- Proven ownership of FP&A in a CPG and/or manufacturing environment
- Experience within food, ingredients, or related CPG categories strongly preferred
- Experience across manufacturing finance, cost accounting, and operations
- Exposure to e-commerce and retail P&Ls preferred
- Strong expertise in financial modeling, cash flow, and scenario planning
- Experience in mid-sized, high-growth companies (not large, siloed organizations)
- Background in private equity, M&A, or capital planning a plus
- Ability to build processes from scratch in a hands-on environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills with executive presence
- Scrappy, agile mindset with comfort in fast-paced, evolving environments
