VP of Industrial Manufacturing

BrainWorks is partnering with a growing, established food manufacturing company seeking a VP of Industrial Operations to lead maintenance, facilities, and sanitation across multiple locations. This executive will play a critical role in improving equipment reliability, building preventive maintenance programs, and developing the infrastructure needed to support continued growth. Reporting directly to the CEO, this individual will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team and work closely with Production, Hospitality, and other functional leaders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance, facilities, and sanitation operations across multiple manufacturing and hospitality locations.
• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
• Establish and optimize CMMS systems to track maintenance activities, equipment performance, and spare parts.
• Build, develop, and lead technical teams, strengthening organizational structure, accountability, and leadership capabilities.
• Oversee facility infrastructure, utilities, building systems, and external contractors.
• Lead capital equipment projects, facility improvements, and expansion initiatives.
• Establish sanitation standards and procedures in partnership with Food Safety to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
• Develop long-term equipment and facility plans to support business growth.
• Drive continuous improvement, operational efficiency, workplace safety, and environmental sustainability.

Ideal Candidate

• 10+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing, industrial operations, engineering, or another equipment-intensive environment.
• Strong background in industrial maintenance, equipment reliability, and preventive maintenance programs.
• Experience implementing or improving CMMS systems and reducing equipment downtime.
• Proven ability to build teams, develop managers, and lead organizational improvements.
• Experience managing capital projects, equipment installations, and facility infrastructure.
• Understanding of multi-shift or 24-hour manufacturing operations.
• Strong cross-functional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Food manufacturing or bakery experience preferred but not required.
• Comfortable operating at both the strategic and hands-on levels in a growing, entrepreneurial organization.
